Dimitris Itoudis

Dimitris Itoudis is recognized as the most successful Greek coach and one of the top basketball coaches in Europe.

A significant milestone in his career occurred during his tenure with PBC CSKA Moscow, where he became the longest-serving head coach in the club’s modern EuroLeague history. While Ettore Messina also coached CSKA for six seasons, his time was divided into two separate periods (four years plus two years).

Before becoming a head coach, Itoudis spent 13 years working alongside Željko Obradović at Panathinaikos B.C. During that period, they achieved remarkable success, including:

- Five EuroLeague titles

- Eleven Greek championships

- Seven Greek Cups

In the 2013-14 season, Itoudis took over Bandırma Kırmızı (Banvit), leading the club to first place in the regular season with an impressive 28-2 record, before finishing third in the playoffs.

In the summer of 2014, CSKA Moscow bought out his contract from the Turkish club and appointed him head coach. Just two years later, during his second season in Moscow, Itoudis guided CSKA to the club’s third EuroLeague title at the 2016 EuroLeague Final Four held in Berlin.

He later added another EuroLeague championship in 2019, leading CSKA to its fourth EuroLeague trophy overall. Additionally, Itoudis won five consecutive VTB United League titles with the Moscow club.
