Giving back to basketball — supporting youth, coaching education and the global game through the EHCB Foundation Gala and ongoing fundraising.
The EuroLeague Head Coaches Board (EHCB) was founded in 2019. The EHCB Foundation was introduced to channel our coaches' influence and resources toward youth basketball and the wider basketball community.
The first-ever EHCB Foundation Gala Fundraiser took place at Golf Privé in Glyfada, Greece, alongside the 2025 EHCB Coaches Congress, with the participation of EHCB members, the Mayor of Athens and the global basketball family. Below are highlights of the auction items donated to the cause.
At the EHCB Foundation, we are dedicated to supporting our communities by raising awareness for individuals with special needs or those facing unique challenges. The heart of our foundation lies in sports, with our fans as the foundation of everything we do. They live for us, and we live for them. EHCB members work tirelessly to train players worldwide, while also focusing on the development of coaches to help them reach their full potential.
Now, it’s our turn to visit our coaches across the globe, further strengthening the global network of learning and growth.
Throughout six generations of the EHCB Coaches Academy, we have brought together around 1,000 coaches from nearly 100 countries. We visit their countries and work with the kids they train, alongside off-duty EHCB members, Academy participants and EHCB Ambassadors.
We organize non-profit kids’ basketball camps, beginning in Tunis in September 2025. The Foundation’s published programme includes Bolivia, Brazil, Ghana, Lebanon, Mauritius and the Philippines. The Bolivia camp took place in January 2026.
